Nussbusserl (Nut Kisses)

  • 150g butter, softened and beaten
  • 100g powder sugar
  • 6 egg yolks
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla sugar
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 50g ground walnut
  • 350g flour


  • apricot marmalade
  • 100g powder sugar
  • 1-2 tbsp warm water


  1. mix all the ingredients except for the walnut and flour, beat until foamy
  2. mix the walnut and flour into the foamy mixture and refrigerate for 2-3 hours
  3. form balls size of walnuts and place on cookie sheet
  4. preheat oven to 150 C (300 F)
  5. bake on the two lowest levels of a preheated oven for 20 min.
  6. while baking, strain the marmalade through a sieve
  7. once the cookies are out, brush them with the strained marmalade
  8. mix powder sugar and warm water.
  9. as soon as the marmalade is dried, brush with the power sugar water.
  10. Decorate with a piece of walnut
